Following the demise of one of the three last “Goth Greats” produced by the UK goth scene, there was reaffirmation of life when the excellent and highly underated band Miserylab arose from the blackened decay releasing five albums + 2 compilations. Before disappearing into the bottomless pit, something far more sinister had started to develop in its shadow INDΣΔ†HI†ΣNDϟ a new ▲ p r o g r e s s i v e o c c u l t g h o s t w a v e ▲ project.
The second album Occvlt Machine was originally released as two vinyl additions one white and one black on Aufnahme+Wiedergabe before a 3rd release on CD. The album is one of 250 and comes in a very stylish Occvlt themed digipack with 7 additional tracks compared to the digital download version.Porl King’s distinct vocals are in “Absentia” with occult sounding loops and samples in their place. A ritualistic invocating almost possesive rhythm runs throughout the album. Sometimes frenzied, sometimes subtle but always highly addictive. Musically matured like an exceptionally fine wine and sort after to compliment any music cellar.
Recommended tracks to dance with the devil are ▲ Apparitions ▲ Spirit ▲ Deemed Virulent ▲ At None Without ▲ Disavow ▲ Mass ▲ Malevolent ▲ For The Love ▲
Recommended tracks for atmospheric invocation are ▲ The Devil ▲ Conjure ▲ Souls ▲ Cold Silent ▲ Enter Exit ▲ Beyond Abandonment ▲
Unlikely that there will be a live performance from INDΣΔ†HI†ΣNDϟ which only adds to the sense of mystery and imagination. Recommended for fans of The Soft Moon, Deathday, the Occvlt, coldwave, deathwave, Ritual, dark ambient, darkwave and ϟΔ†ΔNIC ϟoVNDϟ
Be careful if you listen to it alone in a darkened room as you never know what it might conjure up!
